Manana Hakobyan, author of the project “Tsagumov Hayer”, was awarded by the mayor of Glendale

Manana Hakobyan was awarded with a diploma for the 10-year development of the project “Tsagumov Hayer”, that gives an opportunity to learn about famous Armenians from all over the world, to learn about their life and contribution they make to history and for strengthening the relations between Armenia and Diaspora. The event was attended by the Mayor of Glendale Vardan Karapetyan, the former mayor and member of the city council Ara Nazarian, member of the city council of Paula Devine and some of the guests of the telecast “Tsagumov Hayer”.
The mayor of Glendale appreciated the work of Manana Hakobyan and wished her further creative successes!

Rosy Armen and Michel Legrand performed at gala concert which was devoted to the ten-year anniversary of “Tsagumov Hayer” yesterday (on September 19).
Before a performance the Armenian-French composer, pianist, conductor and singer who has won three Oscars (out of 13 nominations), five Grammys, and has been nominated for an Emmy, told about his Armenian roots.
“I’m always overwhelmed with emotions when I visit Armenia. I have been always connected with Armenia as my grandfather Sargis Ter-Grigoryan. I was 10 years old when he died. He was playing a “saz” (oriental musical instrument) and for us music was everything. I’m happy to be in Armenia in the country of my grandfather, in this wonderful country. I’m happy to be with you this evening”. – said Michel Legrand
